I cannae believe, being Scottish, I'm asking for advice on how to use up alcohol.

Now, if only lager, or white wine, would work as a "mouthwash" painkiller, I'd be sorted. Such a classy bird, me. :p

You can use vodka to make vanilla extract. Takes about 6 months. I've got some brewing now. :)

Vodka can be used to make HM air freshener.

Take 200mls of water, add 8 drops of essential oil and 2 teaspoons of vodka and shake well. You can use a plant mist container. The vodka keeps the essential oils smelling fresh for longer and helps them disperse.

    How about Chocolate Vodka?
    • Melt 4 Mars Bars in a bowl suspended over a pot full of boiling water.
    • Add vodka and blend until smooth. (I find a stick blender works really well for this.)
    • Pour into a jug then decant back into the vodka bottle.
    • Allow to cool then store the vodka bottle in the freezer. (All vodka should be served straight from the freezer. Just ask a Pole.)
    • Serve in shot glasses. It pours out thick and gloopy.
With a fresh bottle of vodka, you'll have left-overs since it won't all go back into the bottle. Chill those in the fridge and drink.

many moons ago, as a young soldier in Germany, the vodka was cheaper than the stuff you put in the car to wash your windscreen (75p/litre), so guess what we used? Worked a treat and didn't get many complaints!

I decided a cocktail of painkillers & vodka mouthwash was the way to go.

is there only me that find it's irresponsible to write this? What was wrong with just asking for some uses for left over vodka.
