I'm looking to buy a monitor as cheaply as possible....i did get one free from freecycle but it was not very good so looking for a cheap alternative...

I got a 19" CRT off Ebay for £13. No one wants them anymore, so they are very cheap. Use the distance from your post code search so you can collect it, as postage is expensive."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0

Try a computer fair - they normally have second hand monitors at good prices that you can see working.0
