Anyone had an experience with Swiftcover.com?
They came in 100 cheaper than my renewal, but have never heard of them so wondered if anyone else had before i jump in :-)
Cheers,

I've heard of them but I've not heard good things about their customer service
Apparently they also only pay very low rates to their repairers.
Have you done a whole of market comparison using Moneysupermarket, Confused and CompareTheMarket, and then followed that up with the RBS group (Tesco et al) and a direct quote from the Admiral group? If so you might find a better quote again.
Then get Quidco for the icing on the cake, maybeDebt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
Debt now: £14,100
Debt free day: October 2008 :beer:0 -
I used confused.com who came up with the quote.
It was swiftcover first followed by dial direct / budget / yes all of which i have heard bad reports of.
Admiral isn't that much cheaper than who i'm with, Churchill.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0 -
Try Direct Line with Quidco - should be cheaper than Churchill.
I was with Budget for a year; never had to claim but their customer service was great.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350

Nearly 20 years ago I signed up with a small new insurance company that had the bright idea of bypassing all the paperwork and cover note hassle of going through a broker, by doing everything over the 'phone. This company was called Direct Line.
Now I'm insured with Swiftcover, it has had the bright idea of moving the computer screen from the call centre into the customers' living rooms.
It has also managed a merger with AXA, a major insurance company.
So I would not be worried about its finances in the immediate future.
However, like any bright new idea, there will be teathing problems.
Mind you 40 years ago, there was a company that had the bright idea of using these new fangled computers, it could take your details and print out an insurance certificate while you waited. It was called Fire, Auto Marine and it went spectacularly bankrupt. Following an investigation documentary by David Frost (classic TV) its founder found himself in court facing a prison sentence. As a result we all should enjoy better protection these days.

I've used swift cover for over two years now and have had no problems. Mind you, I've not had to make any claims. They gave me a fantastic quote. I did ring there customer services once and had no problems.I have learnt that providing excellence gets you what you deserve and not what you want !!!0

Hmmm, I'm currently being (understandably) hounded by a third party I was shunted into, and despite sending SwiftCover the details regarding the incident, and 8 other emails to them chasing them up, I just don't get a reply.
I've also tried to call them this morning, and it appears their Customer Service numbers are 'temporarily out of order'.
Should I start worrying now?0 -
Are SwiftCover your insurers, or the insurers of the third party who caused the accident?0
