Natterjacks Kingston Review Bad Customer Service

I, like others I know have had some really bad customer service from this company and thought I would share.
I ordered a pair of trainers from them a few weeks ago and before they were despatched, they phoned me to say that the box was battered. I said fine, please send them anyway. They did, but the shoes that have arrived are missing the tags, missing the spare laces they were supposed to come with and the soles look used, giving me the impression that I had paid for used shoes. I contacted the company and someone called Andy, who could not even be bothered to use punctuation in his return email told be to return the item for a refund, I questioned who would be paying the return postage as it was their mistake and they told me that I would be paying this
Also the tone of the email was uncaring and rude (again with no punctuation). I told him that I did not think much of their customer service and that their reputation was already quite bad on the internet and they seemed to be unbothered by this. In fact when I told them about this the email reply I got was 'You sound like a right tw*t" and I think that the guy who sent it was the owner. Nice eh? Anyway, just a warning for others who may be thinking of ordering from them i would avoid like the plague as Natterjacks of Kingston is a joke.

I ordered a pair of sneakers from them, paid with Paypal and got a Paypal confirmation e-mail. Next day some guy named Ash sends an e-mail asking me for "a proof of identity document. What we need is a recent utilities bill (electricity bill, phone bil etc...) or bank statement that has your name and address on it, basically any official documentation." Ever heard of identity theft? Why would I need to send them something like that after paying with my verified Paypal account? They claimed my address was "unconfirmed" - despite this being the same address as on my credit card that I used to verify my Paypal account with. I asked them to send me a screenshot of the "unconfirmed" message they got. Screenshot they sent shows that their system uses the address on the order form - which is formatted differently than the Paypal address - and therefore shows my Paypal verified and confirmed address as unconfirmed. I pointed this out and asked them to look at the original Paypal payment confirmation e-mail they got at the same time as I got mine, which shows my address in the right format and as confirmed. Never got a reply to that. When I contacted them again, they said they were waiting for a further confirmation from Paypal. At that point I cancelled my order. No way I am going to send some unknown employee of a company I found by chance on the Internet any documents that may be used for identity theft. More likely, though, it's a case of simple ineptitude. AVOID0
