internet radio and cheap tablet

I've already got one internet radio, but it is a nuisance logging on and linking to the Reciva database each time the connection is interrupted.
I'm thinking of getting one of the cheap (£80-£100) tablets such as the momo9 or sumvision Astro, and using that to listen to internet stations, possibly using a spare pair of computer speakers plugged into the headphone socket. This seems a much more flexible approach, and of course I could use the tablet for other things.
Have any of you tried this approach? Are there any problems I should be aware of?

I use TuneIn Pro on an android tablet and don't see anything that's likely to be a problem. What goes around - comes around0

Lots of good reviews on this for under £180 from ebuyer.com0 -
I've found an iPod touch makes a great internet radio.
A wide range of internet radio applications, for example fstream and Pocket Tunes will also record and useful when you go out.
Lots of docks so that you can make the sound louder.
Admittedly a bit expensive. Otherwise a cheap android PAYG phone and an app like Xiialive.
Also Samsung make an interesting Android "iPod touch equivalent" if you don't like iPods, the Samsung Galaxy S Wifi .0 -
Another vote for TuneinPro. Or try a Logitech Squeezebox.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I'm sorry, I don't apologise. That's just the way I am. Homer (Simpson)0 -
