I am looking for a tablet to buy under 300£. Can you suggests the best one from your experience. I like to go with Android based ones.

If you have a one, how is your experience with that one.

Lots of positive comments on this tablet from ebuyer and at that price cant go wrong

Otherwise I would probably stump for an ipad and if you cant stretch to the full price try second hand or refurbished ones either from Apples website or ebay since the ipad is the standard bearer for all tablets

The Scroll Extreme Tablet PC has an impressive spec but apparently it is not licensed to use the android market. Would not that limit the capability of the tablet.?

Similar spec to the scroll, except without Ebuyers profit margin, and comes with google market (play)

Is it the best nearasdammit 10.1" tablet you can buy? No. Is it the best for under £150? Hell yes.

Looks like the only difference is the size of the battery.

Any idea when Google Play will be offering music here in the UK?
  • I agree with TangleFoot, I've heard good things about the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. iPads are expensive and don't do all the things I want it to do and is too locked down IMO. Not that I can afford one anyway!! :D

The scroll dose have Google play store (old market) you need to go to apps then scroll left its in widgets as play store you then need to add it to one of the home screens, hope this helps .
My issue is it wont run iPlayer something to do with flash

Here's another one, though it be out of budget at present.
  • Just spotted that Ebuyer are doing an ebay deal of the day on the Scroll Extreme...

    Item number: 270975249177

I think that makes it one of the cheapest 10" Android 4 tablets available - also seems to have loads of good reviews on ebuyer.

    Defos worth a look.:j

Sorry, but that's at odds with the headline asking for the best. IMO, the best 10.1" tablets (the Asus Transformer prime at £499 and the 'budget' Asus Transformer TF300 at £399) cost more, I'm afraid. The original Transformer (the TF101) should start to fall in price and is a very capable machine. I've been using mine almost daily since I bought it at launch.
