Confused - Vanilla Mastercard Giftcard

I was recently given a Vanilla Mastercard giftcard with the value of £50, and I've registered in online, but it won't let me buy anything online.

I've not tried it in store yet but when I call up the helpline, the automated machine says that my balance is £0.00, but on the website it says that my balance is £50...

I want to call customer services, but it costs £1/minute and to be honest I don't particularly want to pay that. :/

Anyone gotten any experience with Vanilla gift cards? Any advice?
