Hi I have got my credit history report and over the last few years I have had numerous hire purchase agreements loans etc but he report doesnt say if ppi was included is it worth just claiming just the same or is there a more polite way of finding out?
also how far back can you go as my credit report only goes back 10 years but i would have had loans prior to that can you claim on older policies if so how do you get that information
any help advice would be graetly appreciated

Surely you would have remembered if you had PPI, it would have been on each statement as a seperate entry on any statement that you got.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

First of all you need a reason why you believe it was mis-sold. Having PPI is not a reason for complaint, being mis-sold it is. You can't put in a complaint about something if you didn't know if you had it or not.

You can get hold of all your records from the various companies by sending an SAR to each of them. An SAR costs £10, make sure you include any previous addresses, take a copy before you send it, send it with proof of delivery and each lender then has 40 days to respond. They will send you all the records they have on file for you. However they are not obliged to retain records for more than about 6 years, although many do. The records they do send will most probably contain more detail than you found on on your credit report. Here's the link for the SAR.............
