Camping electricity

Hi all! Going on our first family camping holiday this week and booked a pitch with electricity. However, to buy a ready-made cable with the appropriate round connector is £70! (Argos). A mate says I could buy the appropriate weatherproof plug/connector and affix it to a 10m cable with a standard four plug at the other end. Any thoughts from experienced campers / electricians? Cheers

personally I wouldn't make my own not worth the risk.
Might be an expense but IMHO worth it.

Read this thread over on UKCS about EHU HERE

this is the one we purchased HERE tho I believe we brought our during a promo. Not sure how much the P & P would be as we was able to visit their Frensham branch.

Have a look around at the prices in local camping shops.

P & P is £4.50 so much cheaper than Argos

Edited to add found it here at camping International for £39.99 plus p&P £7.50
    See HERE

Dont know if camping international price match but camping world ( first link) do price match. So might be worth asking Camping world to match Camping international as the postage is cheaper at World
