Tax credits renewal - how long does it take

How long does it take for your tax credits to be renewed. I renewed mine 10 days ago but payments have stayed the same, does it take longer.

i've always found them really quick to make any changes and to recieve any extra payments, it's usually the letters that take forever to arrive. it could be that your claim is done but that your payments are not due to change?? wouldnt surprise me if you had a payment next week( if you are due any extra of course.)

I get paid weekly and payment was exactly the same, I just thought it may of changed I earned over £1000 less than last year and over estimated by income by more than that. Will wait for my letter to see what that says.

we are in a similar situation, we overestimated and we have had a baby, so god knows how accurate our payments are at the moment, and i reall;y dont get how these disregards work. too confusing!!
