We are going to be in need of a let in Blackpool for around 2-6 weeks. We have looked at the Haven sites but are expensive with Easter time and wondered if anyone had any ideas. Rightmove doesnt seem to have short term lets in this area. Anyone any suggestions? We are a family of 4 with quite a lot of furniture...

Hi Julez, unfortunately, when looking at Blackpool, you're looking at holiday accomodation for short lets like that. If you don't mind me asking, how much are you willing to go up to and I can check a few out for you. I know where the worst areas are, so I can help you out with that:p0

id also be inclined to go for a holiday let.
get all your furninture in storage & take it form there:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
for such a short period ..have you considered putting your furniture into storage ..you could then arrange a preferential rate at a b & b or holiday flat
how about something like this

I dont think you will be able to get anything much cheaper....plus most places will be booked up ...good luckI have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

Jules - is it worth going inland a bit where it isn't quite as Holiday-ish? Like Poulton or Kirkham?A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Problems are
(i) There are 4 of us 2 adults and 2 kids.
(ii) We are buying a home in Blackpool and not exactly sure when ot if it will go through.
(iii) My mum is looking after our kids 3 evenings a week in Bispham(Blackpool) and we will then be driving to Stockport for work so dont want to have a driv einto Blackpool to drop kids off. Especially when DD is getting into pre-school at local primary school in Bispham and Id have to pick her up mid afternoon.
Thanks for the offer George Carol but I grew up here so pretty much know every back alley etc going(shouldnt advertise that). Moved away originally for uni 6 years ago. No matter how much you hate the place it still draws you back! Nowhere has so much going on for the kids than here IMO and I wanted kids to have everything I did as a kid. Lets just say that 1 night in a B&B in almost any hotel in Blackpool would be dreaded. Me and my mates used to work in them and I know some gotesque stories. Put me off cheap hotels for life.
I know its an awkward situation but surely there must be some sort of market for people in my situation. The gazette website is useless.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*
