Aerials springing up

I wonder if some company had a contract to do a row of houses and got the street wrong. Strange if none of your neighbours noticed anything going on.Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

That is in intriguing. Have you found any reason for it yet?
You shouldn't need a new aerial for the digital changeover! The 'old' aerial still pickups freeview & the digital signal will be boosted once the changeover happens which will help even more.#96 of the Norn Iron Club

How can those amount of aerials have been put on house roofs without not one owner or nieghbour seeing or hearing anything?Thanx

Can't find any details on the supplier.
2 aerials for certain ( who didn't request them).
1 neighbour isn't sure ( has 2 + satelite dish-not sure if she always had 2.. thinks not)
Erected when we were at work- it must have been a mistake.
Cant think of any other reason.

It does sound odd. You'd expect at least that the installers would want some signature for acceptance of the work, and normally the downlead would come into the house. Or have they joined the new cable to the old one?0

for 99% of people, their existing aerial will work fine after DSO, even if they currently don't get digital.
Really?
I currently get only a modest subset of digital channels (and only some of those are of adequate quality) and had been slowly working up to engaging someone to adjust or upgrade as appropriate, but you've now got me thinking.
Any way to know in advance if one is likely to be among the unlucky 1%?0 -

Pop your postcode in here: http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/ , click on "trade view" and it will give you a good idea.
At this stage I would advise everyone to sit tight..0
