Do any of these clean carpets as well? I mean clean and not just refresh. Any recommendations of cleaners that do hard floor as well as carpet would be appreciated. Thanks
the trouble is to properly clean a carpet you need to remove the dirty washing water that is generated by cleaning- no steamer will do that, not one that i know of anyway, sorry.

So will the steamer get rid of any black marks from the carpet?

You can steam then dab the muck off with a towel I think. But really you need a carpet cleaner that sucks it up.

I have on of these (got it half price from amazon) and would highly recommend. They "refresh" carpets, which i haven't tried but my tile floors are fantastic after cleaning with it. The cable is quite short so to do my kitchen (7m*5m) i have to use 2 sockets but that is my only grumble with it.

I bought the updated version from Argos about a month ago. They were offering the one with the solution for same price as one without. Only difference id there is a tank on the back that you put their detergent in. is the one advertised on TV for £99 and I got it for £59. To be honest it wouldn't have been worth £99 and I am not that pleased with it would have preferred this one . I have a black floor and you see the marks on it. Not so visible on the laminate was actually going to contact them.

Is a mop & bucket with a little bit of bleach & detol that out of date?

Does Mrs AO really need one of these items?

I missed this, but got one from Tesco, not sure it cleans-or makes it look as clean as well as I would like, think I would have to bleach the floor then keep on top of it with this but it's not too bad :)

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

It has on mine and it's a cream carpet aswell, l did have to spray some 'Vanish foam' on it beforehand.

I bought this one http://www.vaxsteam.com/ and it's been brilliant, so easy to get out and get mopping - yes, even better than a mop and bucket and less storage. It's nice and light too.

I wouldn't be without a steam mop now, l am using their fluid cleaner that came with it but afterwards l won't bother buying anymore - you don't need it with a steam mop.

    Happy moneysaving all.

    Thanks Sassyblue,
To use on carpets, does it come with any attachment or just the same as you would on hard floor?
