Given that a new HP cartridge (301) costs around £10 for 4ml of ink, it seems a no-brainer when you see 250 ml or so for the same price.

Or am I missing something (like it will destroy my printer.......)?

I would google to find the exact places to drill the refill holes
Main consideration would be the possible mess, and check if any of the holes need to be left open after a refill
Or you could ask how much ink they get in to their refill by post ones

On the blog section of the Refresh site (igloo.refreshcartridges.co.uk) is a guide to the refill hole locations that you can use with that kit on eBay if you did want to refill your own:0

will it destroy my printer ? . . .
No it won't. I've been refilling Canon printer carts. for years. It's sad that that the manufacturers spend more on attempting to force you to overspend on branded carts. than they do on building great printers. Also, getting a set of cleaning carts. is a good idea as ALL printers with ALL types of ink will need cleaning at some time.
good luck0 -
is the print quality just as nice? i dont mind the effort and potential mess if it works out cheap0
