Er....it's on my NI contributions, I think.

I definitely would advise finding out as income related can invoke other monies while contribution based as advised is time limited to 12 months if in WRAG.

It's contribution based, but what is WRAG?

Work Related Activity Group which means contribution based ESA only lasts for one year when you will only be able to get income related.

So it's not indefinite? When it stops what do I do? I receive DLA.

Do you live alone with less than £16,000 savings, if so then you will get income based. If you have a spouse or partner who works or savings then sorry it will stop.

I have no savings and a husband who works. When will the ESA stop?

If you've been getting it for a year you should hear soon that it will be stopping. If less than a year then you will get it until a year passes.

I have been getting it for nearly 2 years. Should I contact them?

That's not something I'm qualified to answer. :o

Many people on MSE though who have been on it for over for a year have been contacted to say it's ending on April 30th ie tomorrow. Are you sure you haven't received anything?

No, nothing. In fact I did get a letter recently saying it was going up. I'm really confused now.
