Nikon coolpix - Argos substitute

Hi there,
After reading lots of reviews, I decided to buy a Nikon coolpix L120. Argos were offering it for half price, so I reserved it online and went to collect it today. After collecting it, I noticed that it wasn't a L120, but a L310. I queried this with the assistant who explained that it was a substitute. If this camera is similar and as good as the one I wanted, I'm happy to keep it, but cannot find many reviews. I have noticed that it's not as expensive!
Any advice gratefully received.

Well the L310 is a newer model - Nikon list it as 'new' on their website:http://www.europe-nikon.com/en_GB/product/digital-cameras/coolpix/life/coolpix-l310 and they don't even mention the l120. The basic specs look the same so it seems like a decent deal.
  • Thanks tallymanJohn. That puts my mind at rest.

The L310 may not be as expensive as the L120 was at full price, but is more expensive than you paid for the L120 (L310 is currently just shy of £200 in John Lewis)
How do I add a signature?
  • Yes, you're right Figment, although only a bit more expensive on Amazon.

do you think it's a decent deal and worth sticking with? apparently the L310 has a lower screen resolution.
  • Sorry to bump this up, but would really appreciate some further advice. Or should I post in a different forum?

I would be happy with the L310 its a new model and you got it for a good price. I know the offer says half price but what could you have brought the L120 for at the time - I guess a lot less than the quoted price.
  • Could have got L120 for £149.
