chimney cowl price?

Looking at getting two chimney cowls put on - can you please advise if:
1) it makes any difference if they are for a multi fuel stove
2) what price am I looking at for getting both done?
Should be no real access issues a normal ladder and roof ladder should be sufficient

thanks in advance

As with many things: it depends on the type. The best person to consult is an established chimney sweep who will quote you for the right type of cowl and fitting. Mine is quite an elaborate one and cost £160 + £30 fitting. There are much cheaper alternatives.
  • Clay mushroom pots £20 each, man and a ladder £50-65 + travel (maybe)
    Roofer not chimney sweep.

Depends where you are and type of roof.
