business bank accounts - where??

Options
Please help,

Long story short I have a business , all great, have a business bank account because i have good credit, my partner does not, she consolidated debts 3yrs ago and has been happily paying them off.

Now i was selling my old business on day of completion the landlord was found to had been in administration for the past 6 months, their solicitors said nothing, mine didn't even check. I am now fighting for everything i have lost - my business, business loan and rent i was to have paid on my shop and the future rent of the lease.

I want to change our business bank account as it was with the same bank but no one will give us an account due to my partner having consolidated , even when i said, by law you have to give us a basic bank account, they said "i know, but we're not giving you one!"

We are a limited company and by law have to have an account but no one, and i mean no one will give us one.

I am seeing my MP about other matters today but will bring this up with him. Where do I stand and why can the banks get away with this????

Nat west is the only bank I know that offer basic business bank accounts.
I do not know if this applies to Limited company accounts.

A bank is a business - they can LEGALLY pick and choose who they want as customers.

If your partner isnt a director they wont get credit scored. cant you just terminate them as director and then keep them as a shareholder/ major shareholder? That way only you and business will be credit scored..
