Dry, cracked feet/heels - what works!

Hi there,
Over the past couple of years my feet have become hobbit-like.
I get cracked skin on the bottom and at the sides and on the heels.
I have advice in the past that has ranged from soaking, filing, moisturising, which improves the condition slightly, however I am a bit lazy as soon as I cease this regime, the issue returns.
Is there a wonder product that really does repair skin smoothness (like shown in the adverts!) or is it a combination of products and TLC.
Any advice is much appreciated - I'm going on holiday in a week and would like to be able to show my feet

I use the Scholl Cracked Heel Repair one and find pretty much instant results0

lashing of foot cream (at the mo i am using the Avon one) at bedtime, then put on a pair of bed socks, the heat and the cream really do work well together,
it also works with baby lotion,0 -

Flexitol:)
I second that! I'm told that that's what podiatrists recommend for diabetes patients with really bad feet. I get horribly cracked heels and nothing else works properly, but Flexitol twice a day really helps. Scholl is an ok second best, but not with the same results as Flexitol. Other foot creams may smell nicer etc, but they really don't work for me.0 -
I usually use Scholl cracked heel but I got some Bayliss & Harding as Christmas present and it's amazing stuff! My feet have never been in better condition. I used it every day for about a week and now only use it once every 2 weeks or so. I put it on at night and cover with a pair of thick bed socks. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

This ^^^^^
I dont think it matters what brand you use, as long as you put something on your feet every night. You'll see a huge difference in a week.
I'm also a fan of Avon, but I like Aveda, Benefit and No 7.0 -
Go to the chiropodist first to get rid of the layers of dead skin. You'll be shocked at how much they get off. Then use foot cream which has a high % of urea in.
I go to mine every 4-5 months and my feet are in wonderful condition now. I previously once stood on a drawing pin & didn't feel a thing: they were that bad!!Noli nothis permittere te terere
