I have got my OR interview on Friday. Couple of questions:
1. What do I need to have with me when they phone?
2. What will they ask?
3. They said they are going to phone on my mobile phone even though I also gave them a Landline number. Should I phone them and check on this as I thought the phone had to be a landline?
many thanks

I didnt have anything, just my BR form, and my fags

Ours just went through or forms to confirm things on it. I think one of the biggest things he wanted to ask why it go to BR. I think this is as he has to write a report the the creditors. Its probably useful to go through in your mind why you think you might have got into the situation. On mine I kind of said supported wife through nurse training, then we had a child, so she had to cut hours, and general financial niaevity.scootw1 wrote:3. Stange. They phone our landline. Just have both phones handy.
I was dreading our interview. But he was a great guy, and he let us keep our cars. I couldnt believe how well it went. Worse things might come, but for me it was absolutely fine.0 -
Not my landline. It's my girlfriend's which is why I need to know if they are okay with mobile.0

Give them a ring and ask. Mine were very approachable and helpful.
I am sure they wont have a problem ringing your mobile.0 -

Hi Scoot,
1 Comfy chair and a cuppa.
2 All q`s based on the info you gave them. May ask for details on specific cards but if you don`t have the info don`t worry as they can get all they need from the card companies.
3 Probably ringing on your number as the other one isn`t in your name.
Best of luck

Thanks for that. Just phoned and they said the mobile was fine. They said I should have a list of creditors, bank details etc with me. So what is on my petition lready basically. Makes me wonder why they need to phone as it's all on paper anyway. just a formality i suppose.0

I also had a pen and paper so I could scribble down things he said that I wanted to remember. When I'm stressed I forget easily so it helped to make a few notes.
Also have copy of BR form and make sure you're sitting on a comfy chair... it can go on for a while and you don't want a numb bum!0 -
Just talked to someone in town about the interview as they went bankrupt. He said his only lasted 20 minutes and they asked him nothing whatsoever about the reasons for the bankruptcy, only laid down the rules about credit etc. Hope mine goes as smoothly as he makes his sound.0

They did ask us about reasons for BR but were kind and not at all judgemental. Just be prepared for that and then if they do ask then you'll be ready, and if they don't ask then it doesn't matter.0

Hi Scoot... Hope you are doing well. How is it feeling to be debt free ?
Just make sure you are comfy and all you do is tell the truth.. The OR's are very good at what they do and at making you feel at ease.
Dont worry... Ill bet you have frown lines the size of the Mersey with the worrying you do !0 -
mine was about 45 minutes just a basic run though of all the details given in the filing forms, as i had gambled all my money i was asked where it went to, and that was it, as i had explained everything that came in and out went through the bank so all details there.
Yes it is very handy to have a pen and paper as i had to write down a list of things to send with the general paperwork which you will get afetrwards through the post. i actually had a laugh with my or, haven't heard a thing since then. That was beginning of december!!coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0
