I'm looking to upgrade to a fee current account to get the benefit of travel insurance and other insurance. One thing in particular I want is world wide annual travel insurance, quite a few accounts offer this but my query is, do any of these accounts let you register someone unrelated?
I want to put myself and my girlfriend as the main 2 people on the travel insurance. I was looking at the Halifax Ultimate Reward, as I'm eligible for an immediate upgrade, it stipulates "family" world wide travel insurance, but looking at details on Halifax page it states
"For two adults (aged under 71) and all your children (children must be aged under 16, or under 23 if in full-time education) – including winter sports cover (aged under 65) and golf trips. Medical exclusions may apply."
Doesn't say anything about the relationship for 2 adults. Does anyone know if I could use it for myself and girlfriend with Halifax? Or failing that, any of the alternate accounts that offer world wide travel insurance would let me do this?

The URCA does allow you to scandalously whisk your girlfriend away for a week in the sun and provides cover for that.0

Just to clarify, I can put her name as the second adult on the world wide annual insurance?
Thank you.0 -
Unless you need to declare a health condition up front there's no need to talk to them about it.
If a claim comes in, the fact she's booked to travel with you is good enough.0 -
Resolved. Gone for the co-op premier privlege account by upgrading my existing current account, hopefully.0
