  • I made the mistake of signing up to fair trade practise for retrieving ppi.

I got a payout from lloyds of £282 and the fair trade practise have billed me for £195.
Because it was a joint account from 15 years ago they want all the fees from me but I only receive half the money back. Lloyds have held the other half for someone who I'm not sure even exists anymore?

I have paid half and not a penny more, the fees were 25% plus vat. Disgusting charges that were not fully explained.
  • Hi I need some help, I don't know if am on the right forum, but this was the nearest I could find with my querie.
I made some claims for PPI in 2011 (I made these claims myself not through a company) from old loans and credit cards. Most paid out but a couple from lloyds did not. As I did manage to get some money I kind of moved on and forgot about it. Since then I have received many calls from ppi companies wanting to claim and I always told them that I had already done so, however in sept this year a chap from assist financial management rang me up, he knew all my details and said I was still owed money from Lloyds, even though I told him I had already claimed. He said that they charged 30%, and I signed the letter he sent. However I have now been sent a letter from llloyds saying they have re-looked at the original claim I made in 2011, and are sending a cheque. I telephoned them today, and they said they are upholding the original claim I had personally made in 2011. They said that they have not contacted the ppi company, and that I should not pay them. Does anyone know if I am liable to pay the 30% if the bank has upheld an original claim I made? The company has not yet contacted me.
    Many thnks

I think you would be better posting this in the reclaiming ppi board.
