IVA and the effect on home, car, business insurances
Options
We had the chance to do an IVA to clear our debt with payplan , but after hearing that an IVA can effect insurances we dicided not to go ahead with it , it would have been a good IVA too , but we don't want insurance companied ripping us off because of and IVA.
Has anyone had any experience with and is it very common for insurance companies to put the price up when finding out the client has done an IVA ?
thanks

Insurance companies would not know you had undertaken an IVA.I am employed as a manager in a financial services institution. My views are entirely my own.0

There are lots of insurance companies who do offer insurance to those in an IVA and Bankruptcy.
Sometimes you may pay a few more pounds for the insurance but i guess it depends how unmanagable your debts are?
Most of my clients do not have a choice when entering an IVA or bankruptcy. Insurance is the last of their problems.0 -
I have never seen a question on a Motor Insurance form about IVA or insolvency....having said that, they ask the BR question, assuming its just for offering payment by their 20% installment plan!"Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0
