Hi,
I`m looking to buy a 2011/ 2012 Ford Focus estate Titanium or Titanium x.
Prices are astronomical.
Anyone any ideas on say ex motability purchase direct or any low miles fleet.
I only seem to find Ford Direct or Ford dealers, one I like with a few toys is £16300.
Any advice such as what I can drive a price down etc., much appreciated.
Paul

Auctions?
TBH your taking about a year/less than a year top spec car. You aren't going to get it for less than about £13.5k
Quick look on autotrader you can get low mileage (<4k) for under £15k without negotiation.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -
Manheim are the Mobility clearance auctions at a site in Leeds called Rothwell.
They can have 3-400 of one make, one colour, similar mileage on one day, all ex-mobility and sold through at confusing speeds.
Lets put it this way, if it were a cattle auction, you would not get time to hit each one on the backside with a cricket bat.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
How much is a new one from a broker? Try drive the deal or car file etc.
I found them only a few quid more than main dealer 1 year old cars.0 -
I think this is a particularly tricky car to buy well. They were too expensive new, so either were bought with massive discount as fleet cars or by the posh unthinking. Unfortunately most you will see will have been workshorses and they all clean up well.
I'd buy from a local indie, who wont always be the cheapest, or direct from a genuine private "owned from new" address.
Modern cars with nice metallic finishes just prove that you can polish a0 -
Just to say that there are enough around that you can avoid any without full main dealer service history.0

Thanks for the advice but I seem to be struggling trying to get near the £15000 mark.
I would actually be fine with that as that`s about my budget.0 -
The problem with the Titanium X is that it is very expensive for what you get- my wifes was close to £27K, even without options its still about £25K. For this money you can get a decent Audi or BMW so as a result most will be company cars, which will likely be kept for at least 3 years.0

I`ve found one on the net new Titanium 1.6 TDCI FOR £17,366.36 in solid Colorado red with city pack and floor mats.
The company is Newregcars.co.uk.
I`ve been delving and think I could approach a dealer for a price match.
One today was offering any colour but £19,720 without the city pack and mats..
Anyone any input with the third party firm above or wiyh dealer haggling.0 -
