Creditors Meeting Tomorrow

Dear Forum;

A limbo state of being, creditors meeting for a lump sum tomorrow.

This time tomorrow I might be debt free for first time since I was 19 (18 yearrs ago.

This time tomorrow credit will no longer be an option to buy anything for me.

Already getting used to life buying things only if I have the money in my pocket, emptied my small change jar (got £150, quite amazed, my toddler and baby sons enjoyed the experience down sainsburies with me) and other scrimping and saving measures.

Not sure whether tomorrow will signal the end of the years of stress and worry, or just close the chapter of one part, and start another period (but a period of hopefully less stress and less uncertainty)

Does it bring closure, will life seem different tomorrow.

Lastly, this forum has been the most useful and helpful site I have ever used on the web, I owe it a lot and hope to be able to offer useful advice to others one day, once i can see the wood from the trees.

    Lump sum IVA's are an excellent and increasingly more popular way of settling debt problems, I have actually never personally come across a case where one has been rejected so I am sure you will be fine.

    Let us know how you got on.

    Accepted!!, I can now restart my life, seemed more than straightforward. Feel like laughing and crying, but perhaps the office isnt the best place. :)

    Now I just need to get the lump sum together, more negotiations with my employer this afternoon.

    Hello;

    I contacted Melanie Giles, the first lady I spoke to, Tina, was great, then did get passed around a bit through different people and it appeared firms since my IVA ended up with Susan Clay (I believe they have a partnership). BUT, despite feeling a bit 'handed over', everyone involved was very efficient and responsive to any questions I had.

    Not completed yet, just need to get my boss to release the money, one step at a time...one step at a time.

  • I know of Melanie Giles, Sue Clay and Tina Shortland and they are a fantastic team and well thought of in the industry

    You are in good hands Cody - let us know how you get on x
