Best AAT Correspondance Course?

I also wanted to say that I know some people who aren't being funded by work find First Intuition cheaper than Kaplan and BPP, but again I'd check that to be sure.
With AAT you could just buy the books off a website or bookshop, study yourself and book your exams through the AAT and sit them in an open centre. Or if you want a training provider, have you thought about if you want online learning or just distance learning with tutor support? Do you want live classrooms or pre-recorded lectures you can view at your own time?
Thanks for the tips - again something I shall look into. I never thought of 'self-studying' and then booking the exam through AAT myself - great idea!
I was/am a tutor so believe I can organise myself to self study without tutor support although I could end up with egg on my face if I fail miserably!0 -

You would require tutor support unless you have friends who have done a similar course and can help you out. Its best to spend some money on a service provider who will provide the books, assistance and tutor support when needed than to invest in the exam fees, books etc and fail because you do not have a tutor. Self studying is great for theoretical subjects but for accounting which is more numerical and practical in nature, tutor or assistance will be required.
I am really surprised when my service provider informed me that their fees were inclusive of everything (books, postage, exam fees, VAT etc). It was all bundled together and I did not think twice before enrolling with them. Till now I havent had to face any problems with them (thankfully) and I intent to carry on with them till I finish off my AAT's.
Most service providers charge you extra for books and hence it can become quite expensive later on. I think if you know what you are getting into then its a lot easier to concentrate on only one thing i.e. studying. I have read so many reviews online where so many students have not received their books or have been over charged at a later date. Avoid this and take a smart decision. Plus, check out if you get ebooks or pdf versions which can be read on your handheld on your ebook reader or even your smart phone. They really save a lot of time!0
