Tax credits renewal

Hi, I have today rang tax credits to advise of 2012 income and was asked far more questions than usual, so presume this is due to universal credits coming in within the next few years. One of the questions asked which I don't remember ever being asked was if I owned another property. I said no at time but when discussing with partner have realised that my father added me onto the property deeds of the property he lives in approximately 8 years ago in order that if anything happened to him it would be easier to just transfer this property to me. I own my own property and obviously receive no rent from this etc but am worried that this will now affect my tax credits? Can anyone give any advice?:(

No, it won't affect your tax credits. I guess they ask because they might then ask if you receive rent, which would count as income for tax credits. I doubt they're collecting information for UC...0

Don't worry, I also think that it won't affect your tax credits... Even if you receive rental income, still your tax credits will not be affected.0
