Sending you big hugs - I wonder if we can cheer you up:-

Two parrots sat on a perch - one says, "can you smell fish?"

I am really dreadful at jokes. I have to say that I have moved away from my family and know how hard it can be. I was only about 50 miles away, so could get back on the motorway in about 45 minutes. The way that I looked at it was that I live in a wonderful part of the country, in a village where I don't worry about safety and I have to remember that is why I moved here.

Hormones in us girls are wonderful things! I remember when I was about 5 months pregnant, somebody bought me a lovely set of baby bottles. I sat on the bed all excited and took them out of the box. Happiness soon turned to tears as I realised I hadn't the faintest idea on how to put them together which in turn made me believe I would make a c**p mommy - the pregnant woman's mind is a dangerous thing!!

Ohh, Huggs, I don't have much constructive help to give actually, I think you just need to get out and about a bit but obviously wait until you're better, could you find a sunny spot in your house and curl up in it with a cup of tea?

Ps where are you living now?

    Hi
I know what its like as well living away from friends and family while pregnant. It can be a daunting time but there are plenty of places where you can find mums-to-be to have a cuppa with and a good natter. If you have a livejournal account, pop along and join uk_pregnancy or http://www.motherandbabymagazine.com/ has a good message board for mums as does https://www.netmums.co.uk (i think thats the address) I have met a few great mums off these boards for coffee and a chat and it gets you new friends which will have babies of a similar age.

Where abouts are you now? You never know, there might be someone locally on here to make friends with!

Oh dear. Sorry cant help with living away as I have never done it. However, i know how pregnancy hormones can make you feel. I remember sobbing my heart out because it was February and I hate February and my bra was too small!

Hope you feel a bit better soon!
