Website where you can sell vouchers?

I have a voucher for Selfridges but there's nothing I want (and anything I do want I can get like 30% cheaper anywhere else) :(

Is there a website like ebay where you can safely sell these?

But surely with the voucher it's 100% cheaper than anywhere else?

Yes, but if the OP get's 90% of the face value back, then buys the item they want 30% cheaper elsewhere, they still have 20% cash left over
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

hey thanks for the replies. I'm a bit worried about using ebay as I could send it to someone, and they might then claim it doesn't have anything on it and I will lose out on both :(

also the bit above is true, I would rather have 90% than to buy something just to spend it

it will last until october so I guess I could just wait for them to have a sale and see if they have something I like

    thanks again

There's always the risk. Plus you need to send by post recorded otherwise people can file a chargeback and you'd lose out.

eBay seems to be the only viable avenue.

Recorded would not be a suitable postal service for a voucher, only special would suffice.

I wondered if there was a site where someone took the money and the vouchers, then verified the voucher somehow and paid the money, delivered the voucher, etc..

  • Actually most people on here have forgotten that it doesn't really matter, as their is no buyer protection of any kind for vouchers

In regard to Royalmail insurance or PayPal Protection? If it's the latter, if it's shown as delivered, it's accepted by PayPal, no? I know that 'Signed for' tracking is not 100% though as supposedly 10% aren't tracked right to the end. Don't know if it's improved since.

Sure but chargebacks can still happen if stolen cards / PayPal accounts are used. As a seller, you're still open to fraud.

I sold £50 worth of Amazon vouchers a few months back. Emailed them, sent them by email. Next day, I received a chargeback notification from PayPal, so I rushed out to the post office and posted the vouchers Special Delivery to the confirmed address in PayPal. 2 weeks later, PayPal gave the money back to me. :T Lots of other sellers were stung and probably lost out to the same scammer. I should have stuck a nice message in the envelope for the scammer but didn't think of it at the time.

Recorded / Signed for would be sufficient but there's the risk of it not working as some postmen don't bother getting a signature so the delivery status doesn't update.
