Extending VM via "seeing eye"

Hi. My sister just had a tivo box fitted and her V+ box was going to go up into her (bedroom) loft conversion on her bungalow. However, the VM man who brought the tivo box said that he couldn't run the cable upstairs as it would need to go into the roof and that tiles would need to be taken off to access the cable to then connect it to the V+ box.

He said that a "seeing eye" could be bought for approx £20 from Tesco which would enable her to receive her VM channels up into the conversion. :huh:

Does anybody know if this is possible? Is there a "seeing eye" thingy available or is he just winding her up??!!

Any help would be appreciated. :j

The Virgin system isn't (or at least didn't used to be) as flexible as Sky's for using video senders, but they do work very well, albeit with limited (if any) remote control operabilty.

Try somewhere like AVForums.com for guys who are OBSESSIVE about this stuff!
