Windows Vista £45

Hi all,
I was at my Uni main campus last week (Uclan) and noticed signs in the SU that students can get windows vista for £45 from there. Also microsoft office xp not sure how much though. It might be worth checking at your own uni to see whether you can get it at discount price if you are planning to get it. Be aware though that your pc must be vista enabled. You can run a test on your pc click here to see if it is vista capable.
Hope this helps someone / anyone lol

Hi Sam,
How's the social work course going? Did your placement get sorted out eventually?
I'm currently having a nightmare with trying to arrange a 3-day observation placement. Am supposed to be doing it this week and I'm still waiting to hear back from social servcies!! It's not as if I haven't been trying either!

I use it on my laptop but I also have a desktop that needs the media features
In saying that I'm in no hurry to upgrade0 -
I got MS office XP from UCLan it was £30 or 40 quid i think, but it only had word, excel, powerpoint and outlook, no front page or access. It comes on a copied CD with the registry key and technically you are supposed to return it when you leave uni!!. In the end I bought an unopened geniune student one from eBay approx £30 and it had a voucher inside to get access for £19.
I might get vista after it has been out for a little while but tbh I'm happy with XP:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Hi!!
The course is going great! I love it!! I just found out today that my shadowing placement is with the community mental health team, which I am quite excited about as I have no previous experience in this field. It should be an interesting one!
I hope yours is going well. Good luck with your placement!
