I just wanted to thank all those who have supported me and given advice over the last few weeks. It has meant a lot and has helped me to be as strong as I have been.
To all those who have pm'ed me, I am sorry I havent gotten back to you.. I will do so today.
Also to all the people who recommended Womens Aid and persuaded me to ring the helpline.. I am greatly thankful.
I met my outreach worker this afternoon and will now see her on a weekly basis. She has made me realise what I have been suffering from for a very long time and that it is DV.. something I hadn't really come to terms with.
I do not want to post too much details, but I get to see my children again on Sunday and cannot wait to give them cuddles and have lots of fun with them. I will still be seeing them for half of the week, although the ex is currently having them slightly more.. but hopefully we can sort that in the next hearing.

Sending a huge hug to you as I feel you may need it. The realisation of all you have gone through and suffered is like a double edged sword isn't it. In a way it is a relief to be taken seriously. It can also be very upsetting and draining to face it all.
I am so pleased that you have this person to support and help you. It is fab to know that you will be reunited with your children very soon and able to see them regularly. All the best to you and I hope you will come on here and update us all and let us know how things are going.Intellectuals solve problems, geniuses prevent them ~ Albert Einstein0 -

Big hug honey - you've taken the first steps along your new road, it may get a bit bumpy now & again but it's YOUR road and not one that someone else wants you to go down

{{More hugs}}} It is hard to accept that what you have accepted as "family life" is indeed domestic violence - but well done you - you have taken the first steps, as Floss2 says - and you are on your way ....it's not going to be an easy road - but what you have been treading for the past couple of years hasn't been easy either!
Good luck - we're right with you, shoulder to shoulder - and if you want help - just whimper - we're there!!0
