in Credit cards
Hi
I have seen that Nationwide credit card don't charge for withdrawning abroad, unlike their debit card, so my question is, if I get a credit card, can I set up a payment from my debit card account to pay off the monthly balance without having to ask them to do it every month, I would be sure to forget
Thanks.

Yes you can. It's called a full payment direct debit, and is the best method by far for forgetful people.if I get a credit card, can I set up a payment from my debit card account to pay off the monthly balance without having to ask them to do it every month, I would be sure to forget

Thanks for the quick replies

Would I use the credit card to withdraw cash as well in the uk, or continue to use the debit card ? Just thinking it would be better to just stick with using one card if you can draw cash off a credit card like you do a debit, I already have the flex account with the Nationwide, Thanks.0 -
No, don't withdraw cash from your credit card. The bank Will hit you with interest from the moment the cash leaves the atm!0

A cash withdrawal on a credit card will be charged interest from day 1 even if the statement is paid in full by the due date.
A cash withdrawal on a debit card won't (as long as you have money in the account).
But either may charge a cash withdrawal handling fee and a currency conversion fee. I don't have the details to hand on what the nationwide cards charge - check their website. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

That's only true if the cost to you of doing so is worth it to avoid the inconvenince of using two cards.
A perfectly rational course of action but not a money saving one.0 -
