Firefox seem to have gone mad with the version numbering recently - I'm apparently running 11.0 at the moment...
Generally, it should not matter - the upgrade should always retain your personal data, passwords, cookies, favourites, etc... Simply go to the Mozilla website and pick the latest that they recommend for your OS.
If you're risk averse it would be worth backing up your profile before the upgrade, so you can revert if it goes wrong.0 -
You're behind the times, the latest release is 12, busy bees are'nt they? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Firstly , before you do anything else , I'd backup your current profile so you don't lose anything!
Download and install Mozbackup .. http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ .. run it , and save your current profile somewhere safe.
Once that's done you can upgrade to any version you like , safe in the knowledge that if anything goes wrong you can repair the problem easily by re-installing and loading up your old profile!0 -
