Personally I would be very uncomfortable in two corset type garments. However, my dress fits like a dream to the point that I don't need to wear a bra! Which is a bonus as I hate strapless bras lol. Rather than a corset could you not get some of those pants that go to just under the bust?

Just thought I should update: I've decided to ditch the corset.

It really improved my waistline when I had my first fitting, but just had my final fitting today and it actually looked better without the corset. The dressmaker had taken in the dress and my waist just seemed to adapt to the narrower fit. Wasn't expecting that!

Have to say I'm a bit relieved! :)

I'm doing this. My dress has a button back, which I love, but I wanted the 'oomph' of a corset silhouette. I got my corset from Corsets UK, and it's fab!

You should prob check with your dress shop/dressmaker to make sure that it won't disrupt the shape/boning of your dress. Mine hasn't though.

PS I specifically got an underbust corset for this reason.
