I select by double clicking on the pad at the start of the text I want to copy and drag to select it. I right click on any part of the selected text and go to copy. Then paste where ever..
HTH ... I do think it takes a bit of getting used to, if I remember right. Try to practice a bit in word. You'll get there.0 -
Ctrl + A = select all
Triple clicks select paragraphs
Hold down shift key and use arrow keys to select text - usa above ctrl C &V to copy and past
Ctrl + x = cut (moves)Rich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.0 -
Use the arrows to get to the the start of the first word you want. (CTRL-RIGHT = word at a time)
Hold down the shift key and down arrow (SHIFT-DOWN) at the same time.
You'll see a line of text highlighted at a time.
To add a word to the highlighted block, keep the SHIFT key down and use CTLR-RIGHT.
When you have what you want, CTRL-C (to copy) or CTRL-X (to CUT/DELETE think "X it out")
Put the cursor where you want to go and CTRL-V to paste (think the V as a pointing the chunk of text down).
Some word processors have a way of moving lines up and down. I think in word you highlight the text, hold down the ALT key and use the arrows. The chunk of text slides through the other text to where you want it. This is good for moving a paragraph past another.
In open office just put your cursor in the block of text. Hold down the CTRL key and use the UP/DOWN arrows to move the text block up and down.0 -
