What do you say about children?

We would loved to have had children at our wedding but a number of factors took the option away from us
1) We were only allowed 80-100 guests. When we started to write out the guest list we had over 20 children this meant that a lot of our friends couldn't come because other friends of ours had 4-6 children
2) We are getting married in a 12th century castle 600 miles away from where we live at 4:30pm. I think this is too much for kids to deal with and would have meant lots of tired & unhappy people
3) The cost per head was the same for children as adults £45 for food the kids probably would like or eat in full
After we thought about it we just decided that we couldn't do it it was too much for everyone.
I put on our website that even though we love our friend's kids (most of them lol) the venue ect was just not suitable for them so we were really sorry but we would have to say no to kids
