Unwanted address box in firefox

Hi. I hope that you can help!

My husband (bless him) downloaded a customized web search address box called OTIB from the Bristol City website. It is very problematic!
I removed it from add/remove programs but it is still sat there.
If I search for something in firefox by just putting it into the address bar, it uses this OTIB and I get some very peculiar results. However, if I click the home button in firefox, the google search box appears and not this horrible OTIB.
Ideally, I would like to get rid of it completely but I have no idea how.
Hope someone can help!

Many thanks

Is it listed under Toolbars in the view menu of FF? If so just uncheck it.

If it won't remove via Control Panel, then do a System Restore back to the first date before he installed it.

Thank you for your replies mazza11 and macman!

It's not listed under Toolbars but thank you anyway.

Is there any other cures. It's been a long time since he downloaded it, so a system restore is out of the question really.
I don't often get on the desktop and so I have only today, tried to sort it out.

Have you looked in "Add-ons"? Its under "Tools" if you have the standard "menu" toolbar enabled.

Why? It will not affect your personal data. only any other programs/ updates installed since.

Oh no it came back! I left my husband to sort it out. He managed to find out by searching how to remove conduits and he found a forum where you go into conifg to remove it.
Apologies but he can't find the link now, when I asked him for it but if anyone else has the problem, apparently there are a lot of forums about the problem. If you search "firefox forum conduit config" you should find it!
