Hi,
I was driving along minding my own business the other day when I suddenly heard a loud crack on the windowscreen and a stone had hit it and left a small crack/dent.
Does anyone know if it's possible to have it repaired as opposed to paying for a full screen replacement ?
Thanks in advance.
Chris

you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!

I think if its a chip it can be fixed but if its cracked (spiders legs look to it) then its a new windscreen job, On most insurance policies its £50 excess for a new screen which is a dam sight cheaper than buying on out your own pocket. I dont think new windscreens affect no claims bonuses either but not 100% sure on that.If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
Mortgage - £2,000

While you are sorting out a repair - put some sellotape over the hole to stop any water getting in.
My insurance co actually supplied a sheet with the policy docs with two circles of sticky and a contact number to get it fixed.
Just heard an ad on Classic FM
