Wireless....It was ok before we moved!

We moved and now have the broadband up and running. The two laptops are ok they find the connection no problem, but the desktop pc isnt so good. It has a belkin wireless adaptor and won't find the network unless i click on the icon in the tray and select use windows zero configuration. It worked perfectly well before and I have tried uninstalling the adaptor and reinstalling but it makes no difference, I've checked all the settings (IP address, wireless key etc etc etc) I know its not really a problem to do the click but I just want to know why???? (I don't like the idea of the pc beating me!) Is there any way I can make windows zero the default?

Also another problem is I have installed a wireless connection for the printer that comes and goes thats Belkin too.....maybe me and belkin aren't compatable! The printer router will not work wirelessly, if I unplug the ethernet cable none of the computers can find the printer, I have checked on their website and our printer is not on the list of compatables or on the list of non compatables, very strange. ......am thinking of just connecting it back up to the desktop and emailing anything I want to print out to myself, it seems less hassle than keep trying with the wireless printer thingy, and just putting it down to a costly experience.......unless I can flog it on ebay lol.

Can I just add that I don't mind trying anything on the computer...they dont scare me, after all when all said and done I'm in charge....if i don't turn the computer on its just a load of metal sitting there lol.

So any suggestions please? would be grateful for any advice.

i have the same problem with belkin.
i refuse to install belkin now for anyone. tell em to flog it on ebay and buy some netgear stuff.
i once spent all day trying to set up a belkin wireless router. bloody waste of space.

Check the firewalls are not stopping the printing !

Have you DECT handsets or any other wireless equipment near the PC ?
Change the angle of the antenna.
Does the laptop work in the same position as the pc - with pc turned off from wall socket.
Is it USB wireless adapter on the PC ? if so replace with a PCI card wireless NIC.
