lovethoseshoes Love Those Shoes- refund warning

  • Some weeks ago I took up the lack of refund (dating back to purchases in December 2011) with Stockport Trading Standards on 11th July following their investigations they advised me of the following: 'I can advise that the business is experiencing financial difficulties and is unable to process refunds at this time. It is not clear whether this situation will be resolved in the near future'.

They then suggested that an alternative to a refund would be to consider an exchange by choosing goods from the LTS website.

It looks highly unlikely that I will find anything suitable on their website and the future of LTS looks very uncertain. I'm stunned that they're allowed to continue trading on a website that still advertises 'free UK returns / unlimited return period' etc.

My credit card company will not refund as my transaction for £74.00 dates back more than 100 days. I allowed this to go on as LTS was repeatedly promising me a refund. Looks like I've lost my money and I'm extremely frustrated by a situation where the customer has no way of getting money due.
  • I too am owed money from LTS and after reading comments on this site last night realised I wasn't alone.

Earlier this year I had to email several times to get a refund and was eventually send a cheque.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered more shoes that had to be returned. I chased them up for a refund at the beginning of July with no reply.

I email again last night stating that I would be taking matters further if I did not hear back and got an email today stating :-

"I am really sorry to advise that the company has ceased trading and will be going into liquidation.
You will be contacted by the administrators regarding any outstanding monies owed."

Lets hope we all eventually get our money back!
  • Pennies in the pound, if that.

Also, it'll take months for you to get those pennies.

I sent the shoes back in March 12 and had not had my refund by July inspite of emails and leaving messages on Love Those Shoes. Because of the 30 day delay it was out of the PayPal terms and conditions.

In July I rang PayPal and although they would not refund they advised me to contact my Credit Card provider. I did this and got my refund back within 2 weeks.

PayPal has put special conditions on my account for a time until the matter has been finally resolved between the 3 companies. But the conditions do not seem too limiting especially as PayPal no longer seems to be very useful just for safeguarding payments. I now use my credit card directly safeguarded by the bank's safety measures and have had no problems.

Hope all this hardgained info helps.
  • Hi.

I also booked for a pair of shoes during the month of april 2012 and made the payment immediately and they informed me that they despatched the shoes on april 10th. Up till of date I have neither received the shoes nor the refund amount and they say that they have claimed with the royal mail and lastly shula informed me that they have ceased trading and moved into adminitstation. Such a cheating company should not be allowed to do business online as the common people are affected due to their faulty policies. If any one can suggest how to get the refund it would be of great help.
  • I'm in the same situation with this company and have read today that they have gone into administration!

'Shula' has advised via email had stated that their accounts have been frozen so will not be repaying any money but have helpfully suggested I drive to Manchester to collect the faulty shoes I returned and take them to a cobblers!!

I am owed money by this company too, only £11 but still ..... I was very sad they had gone into administration as their customer service was superb and they sold great shoes.

Anyway, today I put their website address in and it took me a "blog" called footwearmatters.com. I'm no expert but as they are selling Earth shoes on this blog, some part of this company has resurrected itself and is up and running again.

I don't know what to think, how can they afford the stock, surely any old stock would be the property of whoever was handling the administration? Any thoughts?
  • I wish I knew as well as staff were by paid and some are still fighting for their unpaid salaries. How do you know footwear matters are selling earth? Are they not just linking to Amazon?
