IB to ESA Payments put on hold

Just a heads up. My wife was recently changed from IB to ESA. In the changeover strangely her payments were hadn't appeared 2 weeks after they were due. I rang the DWP (on her behalf)and they couldn't explain it the bank BACS payment had just been put on hold. They have made the payment immediately since then and reinstated it. The person on the phone thought it was something to do with the transfer from one to the other.

Since then I have heard from a couple of other people who have had a similar problem.

So if after your migration your payment seems late it may be worth a phonecall to check

Tell me about it, I was owed the final 2wks IB payment on 23rd March. 3 phone calls later I am still waiting for this payment. Have been told the full amount was paid, who to god knows, as it wasn't to me and they were waiting to get that back to pay me the 2wks. I was asked what the problem was, as I had since received 2wks ESA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello, I have to live and pay bills, obviously the person who asked that has never had to live on benefits. I am absolutely disgusted with this, it has caused me a lot of upset and stress.

We were obviously lucky as ours was sorted out immediately. Hope yours is sorted soon
