Me too, im only 29 lol. Fingers crossed you wont need to apply, but if she gets worse, she defo needs too. It can help pay towards therapys or things that help relax, in fact anything that makes life easier!!. I'd swap all the money in the world to go back to work. Im starting a degree in sep, got a lot of support in place ready.
If the time comes to apply, remember, focus on the effect ME has,not its symptoms, when filling the forms out. I think a lot of folk get denied it cos of this xx Good luck xThe feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -
[*]My partner has been diagnosed with ME
[*]She is currently working full time, but struggling to do so.
[*]She struggles getting around sometimes, though not always.
I wish we had her doctor! It's very unusual for someone who is still able to hold down a full-time job to get a diagnosis of ME. We've got people in our support group who are bed-bound and still have trouble getting a diagnosis.
Your partner really needs to make sure her condition doesn't deteriorate. Dr Myhill's book on managing ME can be downloaded for free - https://www.drmyhill.co.uk/wiki/CFS_-_CFS_Book_published_by_Dr_Sarah_Myhill - and her advice has helped many people with ME.
Setting up a limited company is very straightforward - you can buy a company "off the shelf".
You won't be able to claim any unemployment benefits as you have been self-employed and your partner's earnings are too high to get any means-tested benefits.0 -
Luckily, being a physio for an NHS trust, she has had a lot of support, and to be fair, they have gone out of their way to make life easier for her.0
