Anythings possible
, but advisable? No.
If you stuck a carpet down on top of the laminate the extra height would more than likely mean you'd have to trim all your doors.0 -
maybe easier to trim doors than take up all the laminate !!! Plus...if you fancy going back to laminate then you can. My brother has laminated over carpet!!!!I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

I was going to do this but I was advised not to. Basically carpet needs to go onto underlay to prevent excessive wear and make it softer under foot. If you put it straight onto laminate it will be too hard. Its not that dificult to rip the laminate up anyway. Once you get the first peice off it comes up pretty quickly - It only took me 30 mins to do the bedroom.0

The people who lived in our house before us carpeted over laminate floor in the hallway and we didn't know till we took up the carpet and found the laminate flooring over a layer of newspaper from 1924!0

I went to a house where they had put laminate over the carpet - that's definately not to be recommended! After a couple of minutes of walking around I felt seasick!0
