Unreasonable Add-Ons

Options
Hello all,

I have recently bought tickets to see Orbital in Bournemouth at the o2 Academy and when I paid for them I was informed that there was a £6 delivery fee per ticket, yes PER TICKET!

When I told him I only lived a few minutes walk from the venue so I'd collect them in person, I was told this was not possible for "security reasons" and that having them delivered by courier was the only option.

Is there any way around this and can I get this money back?

Thanks in advance.

Where did you buy the tickets? I went through their website and the delivery cost is listed as £2.50 per ticket. There was even en option to collect at the box office for £1.50.

Also, why would you want your money back? You must have been told the final price before you bought the tickets.

I called the number for the box office and was specifically told there was no other option but to pay for delivery.

All I want is the delivery cost refunded as yes, I was told about the cost up front so I accepted them (under protest I might add) as the tickets were likely to sell out in no time.

Which company did you use to buy those tickets,

£6 per order sounds about right for Seetickets via their very secure 1st class method, but £6 per ticket...

It was Ticketweb. I have since discovered that they are offering much cheaper rates if you book online, this in itself is illegal isn't it?
