Can anyone please tell me how many times a company must contact you regarding a unpaid debit before they apply a default on your credit file??

It dosnt work like that. Its about how many months late the payments are anything over 6-8 months is at default stage.0

You are in Default as soon as you don't make the minimum payments.
Each late payment will show on credit reference agencies data.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
They only have to write to you once before they stick you with a default.0

min 28 days after payment is dueDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
