Carers Allowance and Tax Credits

Hi all
Just received my renewal pack today (in a white envelope) and as my circumstances haven't changed, called up to renew.
My only income is my Carers Allowance £55.55 per week so £2,666.40 p.a.. I told the adviser this and she asked me if this was "estimated". I told her it was the actual figure that I received each week and had a letter from the DWP confirming the weekly payment. She told me I would have to wait until I received my P60 (!) as that would give the actual figure. Well, I've received Carers Allowance for caring for my disabled daughter since 2003 and have never had a P60 and have never been asked this question from Tax Credits in the past.
She told me she would have to put down my income as estimated until I received my P60.
Confused much ...
Can anyone advise if this is correct as it's all news to me.
Many thanks

Unless you received £55.55 EVERY week of that Tax year, then technically the figure is an estimate.........the current rate is £58.45pw......when did it change to that figure? You can call DWP and ask them to provide you with the total amount that was given to you in 11-12.0

Shedboy94, £55.55 was the weekly amount of Carers Allowance for the tax year ended 5 April 2012.0
