bought a hoover in October last year, turned out to be total crap and constantly something wrong with it. After one month needed the filter replacing, after 5 months of ownership 3 filters later the on/off switch wont work. Miele tried everything first to not accept responsibility. It wasnt a cheap machine £150.00, they have finally excepted there is a problem and will be sending a box to return it in to be repaired.....however the woman stated that is the repair is down to something that I have caused or a lack of maintenance on my behalf I will be charged £85.00, I explained I wasnt willing to pay £85 and they could keep the machine if that was the case. She said that I had to pay it and didnt have a choice. Now worried about returning it in case they blame me....where do I stand?

Stand on what?
They've agreed to repair it but advised if you have damaged it or misused it they will expect you to pay for it... seems fair enough to me0 -
if you have had soo many filters replaced, do you by any chance use a carpet freshner like "shake n Vac"?0
