How do I put a password on my wireless

Hi I am not at all technicaly minded, So would it be easy to add a password to my wireless conection? Iam with Virgin media at the moment. Any help would be much appreciated, so long as it's the idiots guide!:rotfl:

I may have one already but how would I know....I do not enter anything to connect so does this mean there is not one already? A freind set it up for me.

It will say Security enabled wireless network (WPA), if it is secured, on the wireless network connection screen

I guess it hasen't got one then, because I have never seen (WPA)

thanks for that. but would it just pop on the screen when I log on. the link seems quite technical. Is it something thats easy to do?

The Router is a Belkin. sorry to sound so dim, but computers are not my thing!

put a wpa-psk/tkip password in, save it, then tell your PC/laptop what it is, and tell it to connect when in range.

If you have an ethernet cable, it is best to plug it into the router, and do it wired, because as soon as you put a password into the router, it will disconnect the PC otherwise
