Hi all
My driver side wing mirror is cracked. It is totally stable, is adjustable, and I have almost 100% visibility.
Is there any chance this could be failed in a MOT test, perhaps if I get a jobworth tester?
The rules say that a vehicle could be failed if:
An obligatory mirror (an exterior mirror fitted to the offside/nearside or an interior mirror) is:
a. missing or insecure
b. so damaged or deteriorated that the view to the rear is seriously impaired
c. does not provide a view to the rear of the vehicle
d. not clearly visible from the driver's seat, or incapable of being adjusted to be clearly visible from the drivers seat
Thanks

Get your car MOT at a Council run MOT centre as they don't do repairs and they are a lot cheaper than a dealer, chances are you will pass.0

It should be okay but you can probably buy a stick-on mirror glass for a fiver or so at Halford's or other car accessory shop and then there's no risk at all.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
Debt now: £14,100
Debt free day: October 2008 :beer:0 -
Thanks guys, I believe I should be OK but will ring them beforehand and check whether it could be an issue.0
